Just recently, I listened to a Harris voter rationalize that even if Trump is elected, he will be controlled by existing institutions. That same nonsense was said about Hitler by the conservatives in the Reichstag.
Or consistent reporting that voters believe he's just letting off steam and won't carry through on his rantings. Again, people said the same of Hitler. And the ruling class were convinced they could control him.
